Menu Management – Page Layout

Page layout & Blocks

The Page Layout editor allows you to control which components appear in your run.events Smart Hub and where they are positioned. You can fully customize the left sidebar, main content area, and right sidebar using a simple drag and drop interface.

Available Default Layout Components

The Page Layout editor allows you to customize which components appear in your community and how they are arranged. You can add, remove, or reposition any of the following default layout blocks:

Profile / SignIn

  • Displays the user’s profile information or a sign in prompt.
  • Data is pulled from the user’s run.events account, including their role and any event or organization specific permissions.

Pages

Displays pages that were created and configured under Content → Pages inside run.events Smart Hub.

Presented By

Shows organizer information automatically pulled from the organizer profile in the run.events portal.

Tickets/Event Widget

Displays the logged in member’s event ticket. If the member does not hold a ticket, a registration link is shown instead.

Registration Link Configuration

The registration link displayed in the Tickets widget is fully configurable. It can point to a run.events registration form.

This ensures seamless integration with your event’s registration workflow.

Upcoming Events List

Displays upcoming events relevant to the community.

Powered by / Organizer Branding Block

Shows organizer branding. This block can be removed by the organizer if desired.

The Presented By / Organizer block automatically pulls organizer information from the organizer profile in the run.events portal, ensuring consistent branding across your event, community, and all connected pages.

DragandDrop Layout Editing

All components can be:

  • Dragged between the left sidebar, main content area, and right sidebar
  • Reordered within each section
  • Removed entirely

This gives you complete control over the structure and visual presentation of your community without writing any code.

Page Layout Customization

Before customizing your Page Layout, you must first create your Pages under Content → Pages. Pages serve as the building blocks of your community’s navigation and overall structure. You can choose from three-page types:

  • Custom Page (AI Web Builder) – Create fully customized layouts using AI assisted page building.
  • Event Integration Page – Automatically pulls content from a linked run.events event.
  • Composite Page – A flexible page type composed of multiple content blocks.

Custom Menu Blocks

Once your Pages are set up under Content → Pages, the next step is to create your menus under Menu Management → Menus.

After your menus are configured, you can insert any of them into your Page Layout to control navigation. Simply position the menu wherever you prefer within the layout to create a seamless navigation experience for your community.

The Page Layout editor allows you to fully customize the structure of your community interface — including what appears in the left sidebar, main content area, and right sidebar. No coding is required.

An example of a customized Page Layout using a Custom Block: This example shows how you can enhance your page by inserting a Custom Block into the layout. Custom Blocks allow you to add tailored content, giving you full control over how information is presented to your community.
