Selecting only 1 add-on to a ticket

Answered Emily Mancini 5 months ago

Hello,

Last year at our event we had 2 days- the main event and then a pre-day for workshops. The pre-day offers 3 different workshops but attendees can only select 1. We ran into the issue where most poeple selected multiple workshops which meant we have to manually email them and reconfigure tickets. Is there another way to set this up to prohibit getting multiple add ons? Since we are a free event, even the workshops, we anticipate this challenge is a bit more unique as a paid event the cost of the workshops would be the gating factor.

Thank you for your guidance!

Cheers,

Emily

Hi Emily,

There is a way to handle this. Instead of having multiple add-ons (which will allow user to select more than one workshop), create a single add-on called workshop. Then create ticket option for each workshop and associate them with the add-on. This way user will be able to select add-on once and select only one ticket option for exact workshop they would like to attend.

Cheers,

Mustafa
