How Gamification Works

Gamification adds a fun, competitive element to your event by allowing attendees to earn coins through various activities. These coins can then be used to 'purchase' rewards, which can include prizes provided by your sponsors.

Ways to Collect Coins

Attendees can collect coins in six different ways throughout the event:

  • Session Attended
  • Session Evaluated
  • Sponsor Booth Visited
  • Sponsor Session Attended
  • Survey Completed
  • Global Check-in

Manually Adding Coins - Manually adding coins allows organizers to maintain flexibility and control when testing gamification or rewarding attendee engagement outside of automated gamification rules.

To manually award coins:

  • Go to Tickets & Attendees -> Tickets.
  • Select one or more attendees.
  • Click the Award Coins button.

Define the Award Details: Comment & Number of Coins

Important note: Manually awarded coins do not appear in the Managing Coins Earned report, which only displays coins earned through predefined gamification rules. However, these coins are included in each attendee’s Collected Coins and Balance Coins views.

Leaderboard

All participants are ranked on a Leaderboard based on the total number of coins they have earned. This adds an extra layer of competition, motivating attendees to participate more actively in event activities.

Incorporating Sponsor Prizes

One of the key features of gamification is the ability to include sponsor prizes as rewards. Attendees can use the coins they have collected to 'purchase' these prizes.
