Using run.events during the event

As a sponsor, the run.events mobile app is an excellent tool to leverage during the event. The lead retrieval feature of the app allows you to scan and collect contact information from potential leads, making it easier to follow up with them during and after the event. Additionally, using the gamification features can help generate interest and promote your booth giveaways to attendees. You can also use the chat function within the app to engage with leads, answer questions, and build a relationship with them.

Finally, you can use the public chat groups feature to create and manage chat groups centered around your sponsorship, allowing you to monitor and participate in discussions related to your brand.

By utilizing run.events in these ways, you can maximize your sponsorship investment and create a more engaging and interactive experience for attendees.

Scanning leads

Even if there are many goals that you will want to achieve through your sponsorship, lead retrieval is arguably the most important one. run.events, specifically the run.events mobile app, gives you an opportunity to do exactly that. When you open the mobile app in event mode as a sponsor, you will see the scan icon on all main screens. By clicking on that icon, the badge scanner window will open, and you will be able to scan attendee badges.

Once the attendee badge has been scanned, you will be able to leave notes about that attendee, either in the form of labels or free text, and to leave an overall rating for that lead.

“Selling” giveaways

If your event uses gamification features and if giveaways have been uploaded to the mobile app beforehand, you can immediately sell your giveaways to leads after scanning their badge. To do so, select one of your giveaway items and “sell” it to the lead for a certain amount of coins.

Leads can visit your booth multiple times to purchase your giveaways, but this is not a problem. You can simply scan their badges again and "sell" them the giveaways. Rest assured that leads that have been scanned multiple times will only appear once in your leads list.

Engage in chat!

You will hopefully have many leads coming to your booth during the event, and you will want to keep contact alive and ongoing with hot leads during and after the event.

Nothing is easier than that! Go to your lead list, choose any of the scanned leads, and engage in a chat with them. They will see those chat messages in their inbox, so the conversation can continue even after they leave your booth or, alas, after the event.

But what about attendees who are not on your leads list?

You can search for other attendees from the "Connect" area in the mobile app, either by using their names or company names. After you find them, you can send them connection requests and wait for them to confirm those requests. Please be aware that you will only be able to find attendees who have set their run.events profile to "public".

However, those leads are not on your lead list yet; they are just your personal connections in the app. If they accept your invitation to connect, you can then use the chat to invite them to your booth, where you can scan their badge, which will make them appear on your lead list.

Monitor and manage your public groups

This may seem obvious, but it's important to emphasize the need to monitor your public groups. If attendees post in the group and receive no response, their experience will be less than satisfactory, and they may develop a negative impression of your brand.

Likewise, if you notice low engagement in the public groups you created, consider taking the initiative to spark conversations by asking questions, providing answers, and engaging with group members. By successfully engaging with attendees, you can significantly increase your chances of generating quality leads.
