Chat with Speakers (for Event Attendees)
The run.events mobile app allows attendees to chat directly with event speakers. This feature empowers attendees to network, explore specific topics or areas of interest, and engage in meaningful conversations.
Accessing Session Chats & Chatting with Speakers
Attendee view
As an attendee, you can access the session chat via the mobile app.
Open the: Agenda tab to get started.
Select a session you are interested in to open its details and access the chat feature.

Tap the Chat button to join the session chat and start a conversation with its speaker.
This chat will be visible to all attendees who have marked the session as a favourite in their My Agenda tab.

Starting and Managing Chat Conversations
Once inside a session chat, you can participate freely and engage with the speaker. You can also manage your notification pregerences:

As a member of any chat, you always have the option to Unfavourite this Chat. Once unfavourited, you will no longer receive notifications for new messages in that conversation.

Finding and Chatting with Speakers via the Speaker Tab
Alternatively, you can star a conversation with a speaker trough the Speaker tab. Use the Search option to find a Speaker by their name
Select the speaker to view their session. Choose the session of your interest and start chatting from its chat area.

Speaker Notifications
When you send a message, the speaker will receive a push notification, which will appear on their Home page.
